Quick answer: Open Couchius on the same Wi‑Fi as your Samsung TV and tap the TV. A message appears on the TV asking whether to allow Couchius: choose Allow with the TV’s own remote. After that the remote connects by itself.
What you get on a Samsung
- D‑pad, OK, Back, Home and the playback keys, with haptics on every press.
- Volume dial that clicks per step, showing the TV’s actual volume on models that report it.
- Keyboard that fills the TV’s search box, and an apps list to open apps on the TV.
- Input switches the TV’s source.
- Turn on the TV when Power On with Mobile is enabled.
If the TV never asks to allow Couchius
If Couchius was denied before, the TV remembers. Open Settings › General (or General & Privacy on newer models) › External Device Manager › Device Connection Manager, remove Couchius from the device list, then connect again. Samsung’s own SmartThings app also includes a free remote.
